Car For Sale

I thought I would mention again that we are selling our 1995 Ford Taurus.
So far we have had one person come to look at it, one e-mail about it, and 3 phone calls. We have another person coming to look on Saturday and we also received an offer today (a little lower than we'd like, though).

Since we would really like to sell the car before the winter, I thought I would post it here on the blog as well.

Here are the details.

116,000 miles
Just a little rust
New Tires 11/08 (free rotation at Sam's Club)
New rear brakes 4/08 (103,000 miles)
New water pump 12/07
New front brakes 1/07
New tabs and plates 7/09

Power windows
power door locks
power brakes
power drivers seat
keyless entry keypad on door
cassette player
cruise control
AC could use a charge (went out last summer and has never had a charge).

We are asking $1,700 for the car ($1,500 for family).

I bought this car for Peter back in 2003 right before we got married. It was 8 years old and had only 50,000 miles on it. The car has been excellent!! We have had very few problems with it and I'm sad to see it go. It sure was an improvement over Peter's 1979 Chrysler Le Baron which had no FM radio and very faulty rear brakes.

Anyways, no pressure, but I though I might as well mention the car on the blog, just in case someone was looking or new of someone else who might be.

Here are some pictures.

I believe we sold our 87 Taurus for $900 in 1999. It was 12 years old and had a little over 100,000 miles plus comparable features (minues the keyless entry). I can't remember if our air still worked or not, but it was the same deal...could be charged.
That was 10 years ago, so hopefully you can get your asking price and someone will bite soon. :)

Yeah, we had an offer yesterday and someone is coming out on Saturday. I think it looks promising. The offer was only like $100 below what we really want, so we might consider.
