Our Summer

Summertime has always been a favorite of mine. Even though the weather hasn't been the greatest or the warmest this year, we have still managed to have lots and lots of fun.

Back in May, Brady declared to me that he loves having picnics and that he wanted to have 20 of them this summer! At first, I thought this was a great idea, because I love taking long walks with the boys and then eating a picnic when we finally get to the park. Unfortunately, the summer quickly turned cold and often rainy or unsettled. We had a great start in May and since then we've manged to make it up to our 17th picnic just this past Monday! The picnics have occurred at various locations (parks, zoos, camping trips, cemetary trips, on our patio, at the beach, etc.) and have involved various different people too. That's part of what makes it so fun, though. I've been having picnics with my boys now since Logan was just a couple of months old, and all that I needed to pack for him was a bottle! Both of the boys really enjoy eating their lunch outside.

Here's a photo of our latest, 17th, picnic at Evergreen Knoll Park in Farmington.

And a picture of a picnic on our own patio.

Here's a quick run down of some of other fun summer memories:

  • Little Kids Big City (indoor play area)
  • Antler's Park Beach
  • Stoney Creek camping trip with family
  • Eagan 4th of July carnival
  • Swimming in our fire truck pool
  • Playing in our yard
  • Going to the park
  • Brady and Logan's birthday party
  • Attending MckPicnic (to meet baby Stellan)
  • Going to the zoo (both of them)
  • Playing at Grandma and Grandpa's house

Here's a few pictures of some of those events (because who wants to read about them and not see any pictures?).

There are so many other great pictures to share, but I'll have to leave it with this for now.
So that was a brief recap of our summer.
Next up....my awesome husband!!!!
