Alone

For the first time since before Brady was born, I have the opportunity to be completely alone for a portion of this weekend. In case you're wondering, that was just over 5 1/2 years ago!

Sure, I have had time to myself in the evenings, Peter has let me sleep in on occasion on Saturday mornings, and just over a month ago, on my birthday, he even brought all 3 kiddos to my parents house so I could be alone for the morning (unfortunately, all I did was sleep the whole time, though--well worth it!). But, I have never had an afternoon with no plans at all, completely to myself.

Tomorrow it will happen. Nothing will get in the way.

Tomorrow morning, Peter will be leaving bright and early for his high school alumni basketball tourney in St. Francis. He will spend most of the day there and will most likely return home extremely tired and in a little pain. Possibly not walking well either, since he tends to play like he did when he was still 17.

What does that mean for me? Well, on Saturday mornings, our oldest boys have swimming lessons, and it's been Peter's job to escort Logan into the pool for his lesson. Tomorrow I'll be taking over on Daddy's role of helping Logan learn to swim (which should be interesting, since I don't actually know how to swim).
Anyways, Auntie Laura and Uncle Jason are planning to meet me and my crew at the pool at 9am, watch Brady's lesson, and then watch Marshall and Brady while I am in with Logan.

After that, we will head back home (but not before stopping to pick up a preschool application--yikes, not already), bathe the boys, and then they will kindly take all 3 boys away from my house, in my van, but without me!! I can't wait!

Brady and Logan are going to spend the night with Grandma and Grandpa, and Marshall will be having a sleepover with Auntie Laura and Uncle Jason, like he has in the past.

My plan for tomorrow afternoon? I'm not totally decided yet.
- I could stay home, clean my house, and organize my closet (something I can never seem to find time to do, especially since Marshall sleeps in there and all).
- I could stay home and work on my scrap booking, since I am still back in September of 2009.
-Or, I can go out shopping, since I have 11 gift cards from Christmas that I still haven't had a chance to use yet.
Decisions, decisions....

I have literally been jumping up and down since we made these plans for the weekend, though, so no matter what I decide to do, I am going to rejoice in doing it!!

I am also looking forward to spending some quality time with Peter on Saturday night, after his tourney, sleeping in together on Sunday morning (this is totally worth taking a break from church for), and then enjoying lunch together on Sunday, before picking the boys up again.

Thank you so much Mom, Dad, Laura, and Jason for making this happen for us. We/I appreciate it more than you can imagine!
