Snow Day

I was quite surprised at the decision Farmington schools made last week to cancel school. I understand that much of the Twin Cities received a substantial amount of snow last Tues/Wed, but Farmington was not among those areas.
Down at our house, we had maybe an inch of snow on Wed morning, which was gone by Wed afternoon. No one even took the time to shovel their driveways down here.
That's the way I generally like it. Little amounts of snow that vanish quickly.
I also like when Farmington schools close unexpectedly, and I get to have all 3 boys home for a day in the middle of the week.
If I thought keeping my boys at home everyday was best for them, then I would do it in a heartbeat! I love those little guys.
Anyways, here are some pictures from our "snow day".

Eating Fun Dip in the tub (one of only 2 places that Fun Dip is allowed at our house, on the rare occasion that it even is allowed. I think that stuff is nasty :).

Painting in the basement. If you look carefully, you'll see Marshall cooking up some food in his kitchen.

The big boys decided that it would be fun to play board games in Mommy and Daddy's bedroom closet. So, here they are, in the closet, waiting for me to quickly snap a picture, so we can get on with our games. They loved it so much that we'll be doing a repeat this Friday when they also have no school.

I'll have to admit that I was actually hoping for a little snow, so the kids could go out and play in it, but just having them home was great enough! We also played Wii, read books, played hide and seek and did races in the basement.

Snow days were my favorite when I was a kid. I miss that! :)
